Insulated Glass Units

Sealed, certified, and consistent. IGUs engineered for thermal performance and manufactured at the volume window makers need.

The unit your windows are built around.

Every IGU we ship is assembled and sealed on our own lines in Guelph, then inspected before it leaves the floor. Whether you need a steady weekly supply for a production line or units for a single project, you get the same thing: consistent sightlines, clean seals, and glass that performs to spec.

For window and door manufacturers, consistency is the whole game. One out-of-spec unit can stall an entire line. That is why volume customers come to us and stay.

Insulated Glass FAQs

What is an insulated glass unit (IGU)?

An IGU is two or more panes of glass separated by a spacer and sealed into a single unit, with the cavity filled with air or argon gas. The sealed airspace dramatically reduces heat transfer, which is what makes modern windows energy efficient.

What is the difference between double, triple, and quad glazing?

Double glazing uses two panes with one sealed cavity, triple uses three panes with two cavities, and quad uses four panes with three cavities. Each added cavity improves thermal and acoustic performance. We manufacture all three configurations to spec.

What does a Low-E coating do?

Low-emissivity coatings are microscopically thin metallic layers that reflect heat while letting light through. In winter they keep interior heat in, and in summer they reflect solar heat away, improving the unit's overall energy performance.

Why choose argon gas fill?

Argon is denser than air, so filling the sealed cavity with argon slows heat transfer through the unit. It is an inexpensive upgrade that meaningfully improves the insulating value of any IGU.

What are warm-edge spacers?

The spacer is the component that separates the panes at the edge of the unit. Warm-edge spacers, like the Super Spacer and EnerEDGE foam systems we use, conduct far less heat than traditional metal spacers, reducing edge condensation and improving overall performance.

What sizes can you manufacture?

We manufacture units up to 11.5 ft x 8.2 ft (3.5 m x 2.5 m), with a production capacity of 8,000 sq ft per day and an average lead time of 5 to 7 business days.

Do you supply window manufacturers at volume?

Yes. Wholesale supply to window and door manufacturers is the core of our business. We offer account setup for simple reordering, consistent quality unit after unit, and lead times you can schedule production around. See our Wholesale Partners page for details.
